Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how JusteSIMs (ABN 28 764 919 720, of 3 Churchill Dr, Moonbi NSW 2353, Australia) ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use justesims.com and our travel eSIM services. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"), the EU and UK GDPR where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA ("CCPA/CPRA"), and other privacy laws that apply to how we handle your information.

1. Who is responsible

The data controller / "business" is JusteSIMs, contactable at support@justesims.com or the postal address above. We do not currently maintain a separate privacy inbox; direct any privacy request to support@justesims.com with "Privacy" in the subject.

2. What we collect

Provided by you: name, email, password, country, phone (optional), plan and order history, marketing preferences, and anything you send to support.

Payment information is entered directly into our payment provider's hosted form. We do not see or store full card numbers — only a token, the last four digits, card type, country of issue, and transaction result.

Collected automatically: device and browser type, IP address, approximate location from IP, EID/IMEI where your device shares it for eSIM provisioning, usage telemetry (pages viewed, features used, errors), and cookie data (see Cookie Policy).

From third parties: activation and usage metadata from Network Partners; transaction and fraud signals from payment providers; attribution data from analytics and advertising partners.

We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act). The Service is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.

3. Why we use it

We use personal information to deliver and support the Service, take payment and prevent fraud, communicate with you, comply with legal obligations (including tax, AML, and sanctions screening), improve the Service, and — with your consent or on a soft opt-in basis where lawful — send marketing.

Under GDPR, our legal bases are performance of your contract, our legitimate interests in running and improving the Service and preventing fraud, compliance with legal obligations, and (for marketing) consent.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with:

  1. Network Partners and eSIM aggregators (minimum necessary to provision your eSIM);
  2. Payment providers (e.g., Airwallex, PayPal, Stripe) for payment, fraud prevention, and refunds;
  3. Hosting, email, analytics, and customer-support providers acting on our behalf;
  4. Professional advisers under confidentiality;
  5. Regulators or law enforcement where legally required;
  6. Successors in a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets); and
  7. Anyone else with your direction or consent.

We do not sell personal information for money. Where we "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising (as defined in California law), you can opt out via our cookie banner or by emailing support@justesims.com.

5. International transfers

We operate globally. Personal information may be stored or processed outside your country of residence, including in Australia, the EU/EEA, the UK, the US, Singapore, and countries where our Network Partners operate. For transfers out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (plus the UK Addendum where required), adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account information: for the life of your account, plus 7 years to meet Australian tax obligations.
  • Order and payment records: 7 years.
  • Support communications: 3 years after case closure.
  • Marketing preferences: while subscribed, plus 2 years afterwards to evidence consent.
  • Access and server logs: typically 90 days.

When information is no longer needed we delete or de-identify it.

7. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal information; object to processing (including direct marketing); withdraw consent; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents additionally have the right to know, to opt out of "sale" or "sharing", to limit use of sensitive personal information, and to non-retaliation.

To exercise any right, email support@justesims.com from the address on your account. We respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest for production databases, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication for administrative access, and vendor due diligence. No system is perfectly secure. We will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner of any data breach likely to result in serious harm, as required by law.

9. Cookies

See our Cookie Policy. You can accept, reject, or customise non-essential cookies via the cookie banner and change your choice later via the "Cookie settings" link in our footer. We honour Global Privacy Control signals where applicable.

10. Marketing

We send marketing emails only where you have opted in, or where you are an existing customer and we are permitted to do so under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) or equivalent law in your country. Unsubscribe any time via the link in any marketing email. Unsubscribing does not stop transactional emails (order confirmations, activations, security notices).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is at justesims.com/privacy with an updated effective date. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product notice.
