Supported Devices

Most modern phones support eSIM, but not all of them. Find yours below before you buy. It takes ten seconds and saves the hassle later.

What you need to check

To use a JusteSIMs eSIM, make sure you check the following off:

  • Your device supports eSIMs
  • Your device is unlocked from the carrier
  • Your device is not jailbroken (iOS) or rooted (Android)

iPhones bought in mainland China, and some bought in Hong Kong and Macao, don't support eSIMs.

Search for your device below to check if it supports eSIMs.

We keep this list up to date, but it's not exhaustive. Check with your phone manufacturer if they support eSIMs.

How to check if your device is unlocked

iPhone (iOS 14 and later)

Go to Settings, then General, then About. Scroll down to "Carrier Lock." If it says "No SIM restrictions," you're set.

If it shows a carrier name, like T-Mobile or AT&T, contact that carrier and ask them to unlock your device. On iOS 13 or older, this field doesn't exist. Call your carrier directly.

Samsung Galaxy

Open the phone app and dial *#7465625#. A service menu will open. If "Network lock" shows as OFF, your device is unlocked.

Other Android devices (Google Pixel, Motorola, OnePlus, and others)

Go to Settings, then Network and Internet, then Mobile network, then Network operators. Tap "Search manually." If phones from other carriers appear in the results, you're unlocked. If you get an error or only see your current carrier, contact them to request an unlock.

Not sure? Call your carrier and ask. Most will unlock a device once it's paid off and not under an active contract. One thing worth knowing: a carrier lock covers both physical SIMs and eSIMs, so if your iPhone shows "No SIM restrictions," you're good to go for eSIM use too.
